Where Your Journey Begins

The Historical Society of Talbot County was founded in 1954 to "preserve, communicate and celebrate the heritage of Talbot County, Maryland by educating residents and visitors." From exhibits to educational programs, special events to research opportunities, the Historical Society is the leading resource for discovering Talbot County's past.

The Historical Society's campus is located in downtown Easton, in the heart of beautiful Talbot County. The society's museum and historic houses surround award-winning gardens, maintained by the Talbot County Garden Club. The Society features an artifact collection of over 10,000 objects, a document archives, and a significant photograph collection in excess of 40,000 images. The Historical Society also owns and operates the Museum Shop, a book and gift shop; Tharpe Antiques and Decorative Arts, an antique consignment shop; and the Auditorium, a multi-purpose program space and rental facility.

Designer Showhouse 2010
HSTC will again have a Designer Showhouse! This year's home is Ships Point, a 1920 Colonial Revival estate on the mouth of Trippe Creek. For more information, click here

Farm Life Exhibit

Fair Plays Vintage Base Ball Team
Play with the team or come watch the all-American game as it was played in 1864. For a full schedule, click here
